NOTICE OF DIRECTOR ELECTION
Notice is hereby given of election for Director of the Nampa & Meridian Irrigation
District, to be held on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November 2009, at which election there will
be elected one (1) Director for Precinct No. 2 of the District.
Such Director will be elected to serve a full three (3) year term and to succeed in the
directorship now held by Monte Janicek.
Excepting that, in accord with Title 43-201A of the Idaho Code “…if, after the
expiration of the date for filing written nominations for the office of Director, it appears that
only one (1) qualified candidate has been nominated thereby for each position to be filled, it
shall not be necessary to hold an election, and the Board of Directors shall within five (5)
days after expiration of the date for filing written nominations declare such candidate
elected as Director.”
ELECTION PRECINCTS SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS:
PRECINCT NO. 1 (Perkins) shall consist of all that portion of the territory of the
District lying East of the North and South line passing between Sections 4 and 5, Township
3 North, Range 1 East of the Boise Meridian, extending through said District.
PRECINCT NO. 2 (Meridian) shall consist of all that portion of the District lying
between the North and South line passing between Sections 4 and 5, Township 3 North,
Range 1 East of the Boise Meridian, extending through the District and the North and
South line passing between Sections 4 and 5, Township 3 North, Range 1 West of the
Boise Meridian, extending through the District.
PRECINCT NO. 3 (Nampa) shall consist of all that portion of the territory of the
District lying West of the North and South line passing between Sections 4 and 5, Township
3 North, Range 1 West of the Boise Meridian, extending through the District.

The polls will be open on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November 2009, at 8:00 a.m. and
will close at 8:00 p.m. of the same day.
No advance registration will be necessary nor required, but as required by Title 43 of
the Idaho Code, Section 113, as amended, “…the judges of election shall require every
elector to subscribe to an elector’s oath as a prerequisite to casting his vote, and such oath
shall be the usual elector’s oath with the following words added thereto, ‘and I own land
within the ____________________ irrigation district, and am a resident of the county within
which the district, or a portion thereof is located’.” This oath requires that each applicant
for a ballot certify that he or she owns land within the boundaries of the Nampa & Meridian
Irrigation District; that he or she is a resident of either Ada, Boise, or Canyon County and
that he or she possesses all the qualifications required of electors of the State of Idaho by
the general election laws thereof.
In compliance with Title 43 Section 201 of the Idaho Code, as amended, nominations
for the office of Director must be filed with the Secretary of the District not less than forty
(40) days nor more than sixty (60) days before the date of the election.
This notice of election is made in compliance with and by authority stated in Title 43
Section 206 of the Idaho Code, as amended.
